That’s a paraphrased version of a quote from Julius Shulman, considered one of the most influential and important architecture photographers in the world.

If this is true, then this is no compliment to photographers who shoot architecture.

It is a challenge…

A challenge that your images should equal or exceed the craftsmanship of the architects, builders and designers whose work you are photographing.

It’s a challenge I am beginning to understand more and more clearly.

And each shoot is allowing me to make small micro adjustments…
